Loris Norman Greeniaus was born on January 8, 1907, in Toronto Township, Ontario. He was known as Lorie. He was the son of Charles Wesley Greeniaus and Catherine Margaret Sloan. Lorie had one older brother, Ross Leslie Greeniaus. Historic censuses list Loris, his brother, and his dad as German because their ancestors were German immigrants. But his mother is listed as Irish because her father was Irish and her mother was English. His father, and eventually his brother, were farmers in Clarkson, historic Mississauga, and Lorie was raised on the farm. On September 25, 1937, Lorie married Lillian Audrey Elizabeth Higgin in Toronto, Ontario. During their marriage, they had one son together. Lorie worked as an electrician and his wife worked as a stenographer. They lived in Toronto, Ontario. |
