History |
This brick moulder was from the Cooksville Brickyard. In 1912, the Ontario National Brick Company purchased the Cooksville site in historic Mississauga. The site had dense clay and shale ideal for brick manufacturing. Over the years clay and shale were extracted from the land by several different company names, including the Cooksville Shale Brick Company, Cooksville Brick and Tile Company, Cooksville La Prairie Brick, and more. Operations ceased in the early 1990s. |
