Biography |
Sandra Franklin was an active member of the Girl Guides of Canada in the White Oaks Area. She served as Dixie Division Commissioner in 1970. On May 30, 1972, Division Commissioner Sandra Franklin moved, "That the division bounded on the east by the Etobicoke Creek; on the south by Queen Elizabeth Way; on the west by #10 Highway and the north by the proposed Highway #403 be called Applewood Division." In so doing, the three previously seperate divisions were amalgamated into the Applewood Division. In doing so, Sandra became the new Applewood Division Commissioner, serving until 1974. From 1979-1984, Sandra served as the Area Commissioner for the entire White Oaks Area. |
